Product Description
A powerful 1/72 scale plastic assembly kit that faithfully recreates the U.S. Air Force aerial refueling tanker KC-135 Stratotanker. This large model builds to a finished length of approximately 580 mm, offering an impressive display presence.
About the Real Aircraft
The KC-135 entered service in 1957 and has remained in use through multiple upgrade programs.
Developed by Boeing, more than 800 KC-135 airframes were produced across all variants.
From the late 1970s, modernization included engine upgrades and other updates.
The KC-135R variant is based on the KC-135A and features CFM56 turbofan engines, increased fuel capacity, and an added auxiliary power unit APU. Deployment of the KC-135R began in 1984.
The addition of the APU allows engine starts and ground-independent operation, expanding deployment flexibility.
